dad's birthday

today is my pop's birthday. invited he, my mother, one of my brothers and his daughter over for dinner. which always created great stress for me - but i love it! i have to clean and cook not to mention still having to get a gift (dad if you read this, i am sorry!). shew... luckily, i have help... it will be fun though, in the end. hopefully, i will have some good pics that i can post.
off to clean clean clean!

last day

today is my last day at work. i am sad to go, as there are few people there that were actually pleasant to work with. i do have to say that i have learned a lot from the people here. sadly, one of the things that i learned is that there are some people in this world that truly and completely care nothing about anyone but themselves, and will stop at nothing and spare no one in their pursuits for themselves. those people have spent their entire lives like that and do not know, nor do they care, how what they do affects the people around them. i have also learned that i do not like be used as used as (or viewed as) a means to an end. i understand that making money is important -- but, when you shit on your employees to do that...

ohhh, see, i knew they liked me - we are having pizza today for of pam's birthday, as a gesture for it being my last day, they let me have 1/2 of one of a pizza be veggie, was told that after i leave they will never do that again -- how thoughtful! i am honored!

wait wait, i got a card! so, i can't say they were complete turds -- they did say some nice things to me...

off to have many beers with some friends to celebrate!

ahh, there, all nice and squeaky clean. newly cleaned up and ready to roll.
had to get rid of some nasty trash that did nothing but remind me of what a nutcase i am.

tomorrow is my last day at the firm. having already gone through all of my files and cleaned out my desk, i am bored out of my skull. start the new firm on tuesday - am nervous and excited.

oops... i think i just fell asleep...
